The AppRiver Cyberthreat Index for Business have also found that this number jumps up to 74% in larger SMB’s. This is amazing because this problem could be prevented by simply having a strong MSP in place.
Data is one of the most important resources to a business and rightfully so. Nevertheless, wouldn’t you be better off investing the money to prevent all attacks, rather then having to fork it out every time you receive a cyber-attack or security threat?
Alternatively, AppRiver have also found that 45% of SMB owners would refuse to pay out cyber criminals, regardless of their demands. This is smart, because most of the time the threat is literally nothing, and if they have stolen your data do you really think they are likely to give it back?
These are questions you need to be asking yourself about your IT investment. Are you going to invest into security to prevent future attacks? Or, will you just deal with it when one happens?
